2. Eat or Drink something different.

Next time you go to buy a drink or something to eat, try something new.

Novelty can stimulate our brain and alter our routine patterns just enough to show us something different. When was the last time you discovered a new favorite drink or dish? How did that feel? Do you have a favorite that you’ll go out of your way for now? Explore and experience more novelty in this small way. Small steps can lead to big change.

 

3.  Make an effort to connect when you normally don’t.

Smile or speak when you normally look away or stay silent.

Perhaps if you usually smile and greet everyone then try the opposite. Human connection is undoubtedly very important and can feel very rewarding. Likewise, quiet observation and reflection can serve us as well. Try this and you’re likely to have a new experience. Remember, small steps can lead to big change.
